Next week the silo won’t be there anymore and the crane’s demolition works will start. President Forcieri: “Within the summer, Paita wharf will be completely cleared out and the space for the new waterfront will be finally viewable”.
Everyone can finally see the progress of work for the silos demolition on Paita wharf, which is one of the project included in the Port master Plan of La Spezia Port Authority.
At today, 90% of the building has already been demolished. Next week, no trace will be left of the silos and the dismantlement works of the big quay crane will start.
President Forcieri: “We’re getting on fast, Within the summer, Paita wharf will be completely cleared out and the space for the new waterfront will be finally viewable”.
The works started at the beginning of last December.
Particular attention was spent in order not to let the demolition dust fly all around. At this purpose, an hydrant system was realised, which was able to spray water up to 25 meters.
