Farms replacing plan has been set up
Another meeting between Port Authority and mussel farmers took place lately, aiming to find a shareable solution for the farms replacing inside the outer breakwater.
The Port Authority would like to replace the farms in order to make the sea near the breakwater more enjoyable for the people living in La Spezia, which is the intention of municipal administration and the involved associations as well.
Maurizio Pozella and Federica Montaresi, of La Spezia Port Authority, have set up a replacing plan for mussel farms foreseeing checking phases in order to assure the activity’s continuity and the best product’s best quality.
A study of the hydrodynamic features of the gulf is being carried out and will consider the water conditions in the proposed area inside the breakwater for the farms replacing.
